I’ve been studying music since attending music school when I was four. I’ve studied piano, clarinet, bass guitar and music theory. Playing keyboards in my church band and developing my singing in a number of youth choirs and bands.
In my teens I sang as part of a boys choir on a critically acclaimed EMI recording of Mahler’s 8th Symphony alongside the London Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir conducted by Klaus Tennstedt. Also performing that piece during the 1986 First Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
I qualified as a sound engineer after studying Sound Recording and Music Technology at the Gateway School of Music in Kingston-Upon-Thames in 1997. Getting valuable mixing experience at the SSL studios in Oxfordshire and numerous recording & mixing projects covering bands and choirs through to small orchestras.
As well as singing I’ve played keyboards and bass in a number of cover bands and can play in your projects as required.
I produce and co-present the Lost Immortals radio show each week with my good friends Roy Stannard and Howard Popeck. The show specialises in re-discovered and undervalued tracks suggested by ourselves and a dedicated group on our show’s Facebook page.
I am the Deputy V/P of Production for Above and Beyond Music, a dedicated and hand-picked community of entertainment industry professionals servicing independent and corporate clients in the film, television, radio, music and video game industries. For larger projects we are able to service Independent and Corporate Filmmakers, Television Directors, Ad Agencies and Video Game Creators by going above and beyond the ordinary demands of creating and syncing music and sound effects to visual and radio intellectual property.
I also offer a range of recording, mixing and mastering services for solo musicians and groups.
I hope that I can help you in some way on your musical journey and look forwards to us working together. If you would like to license any of my music or discuss a recording or mixing requirement please follow the contact me link on the website.
